Formed in 2004 Killybegs carnival boasts of a phenomenally successful carnival parade for four years running. the origional founders (Right) are the driving force. Along with a dedicated group of dedicated helpers and organisers, a years planing has gone into making
this Years Carnival (2008) better than ever, if that is posible.
The carnival artists Zia, Caitriona and Carolanne continue to work with the youth of Killybegs each year in constructing costumes and puppets for the parade. The carnival has grown in strength artistically, visually and physically in numbers with each passing year.

As well as the artistic end of carnival, Killybegs has also produced a fantastic home grown samba band each year. In addition to this, 2007's carnival featured a new samba band of talented teens..
